Bio:

Paul Dunnette is an MS student within the University of Idaho College of Natural Resources. He is researching past relationships among climate, fire, vegetation change, and biogeochemistry in Rocky Mountain subalpine forests under the direction of Dr. Philip Higuera, UI Paleoecology and Fire Ecology Lab. Paul is using lake sediment records of charcoal accumulation, stable isotope and elemental composition, pollen accumulation, and other paleoecological proxies to reconstruct environmental change and the ecosystem impacts of fire over multidecadal to millennial time scales.
